One of 24 games
Five letters.
How to play
- One five-letter word. Type a guess and press enter; any five letters count.
- Green is the right letter in the right place, amber is a letter the word has somewhere else.
- Three guesses are free. Every guess after the third is a miss.
- Out of guesses, the Landlord shows the word, charges two misses and deals another. On the fun path there is no clock and the Landlord allows four misses; the other paths run a clock.
The clock
- Light path
- No clock: the board waits for you. The Landlord allows 4 misses before it takes the board.
- Middle path
- Its own short clock: 80 seconds.
- Dark path
- Its own short clock: 80 seconds. The Landlord allows 4 misses before it takes the board.
Where you’ll play it
In house runs across the city, in free play, and in today’s house. Whatever the round, the Landlord may call a rule on it: more time, a second off for every miss, taps that land one over. Read how the game works.
